The passing of jazz and funk legends.

I know I’m more than a little late, but I would still like to acknowledge the passing of two funk and a jazz legend over the past two weeks.
Ladies first, jazz legend Abbey Lincoln who passed on August 14th.

Robert Wilson of the GAP Band passed on August 16th, I could be a day off, if so I apologize. More on Robert Wilson. Robert Wilson of the Gap Band dies.

And finally the older brother funk legend Bootsy Collins, Phelps “Catfish” Collins died at the age of 66 on August 11th. A key member in both James Brown and Parliament/Funkadelic and of course Bootsy’s Rubber Band.
